Frank W. Fryer
Frank W. Fryer, 82, of South Hackensack, died Friday, Aug. 15.
He was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Byram to Frank and Viola Tribler Fryer and had resided in South Hackensack for 59 years. He and his wife spent many years at the Panther Lake Camping Resort from April to November. Fryer was a truck driver and had worked through the Teamsters Union Local No. 560 in Union City of which he was a longtime member. He had worked for more than 33 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Byram Historical Society and had served in the United States Merchant Marines during World War II.
Mr. Fryer was the husband of Trudy A. Frahm Fryer whom he married April 24, 1949. His family includes four sons: Frank Fryer of Bergenfield, Douglas Fryer and his wife Kathy of British Columbia, Canada, David Fryer and his wife Dorothy of Great Meadows, and Richard Fryer and his wife Tracy of East Stroudsburg, Penn; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Luigi Abramo
Luigi Abramo, 81, of Hackensack, died Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Born and raised in New York City, he has been a resident of Hackensack for 50 years. Mr. Abramo taught Italian language at Elmwood Park Memorial High School for 32 years before retiring in 1990. He was a high school varsity soccer coach for 40 years, a varsity tennis coach, a member of the Bergen County Coach's Association and the New Jersey Education Association. He was also a Korean Conflict Veteran of the Army.
Beloved husband of Lucy (nee Taglianetti), loving father of Joseph and his wife, Patricia of Elmwood Park and Mrs. Carmela Sloezen and her husband, Karl of Township of Washington, dear brother of Maria Abramo Grasso of Messina, Italy, and the late Anthony, brother-in-law of Michael Taglianetti and devoted grandfather of three.

Alfred H. Bosworth
Alfred H. Bosworth, 79, of River Edge, died Tuesday, Aug. 19.
Beloved husband of the late Rita of 51 years. Devoted father of Bette Ripley, Richard (Kerri) Bosworth, Laura (Glen) Gutin and David (Jill) Bosworth. Cherished grandfather of Jackie, Rebekah, Zachary, Daniel, Alyssa, Keith, Dillon and the late Pamela.
Alfred was a bagpipe instructor for the NYPD and Transit Bag Pipers. He was also a pipe major of the Tri-County Rockland Irish. He played professional baseball for the Giants, Browns and Athletics. He devoted over 20 years of service to the Youth Athletics Program in Teaneck.

Barbara A. Russell
Barbara A. Russell, 57, of Seaside Park, formerly of Hackensack, died Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Born in Jersey City, she lived in Hackensack before moving to Seaside Park three years ago. She had summered in Seaside Park for many years before moving there. She worked in the cardiac unit doing medical transcription in Hackensack University Medical Center. She was a volunteer at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Surviving are her loving partner Georgiana "Georgie" J. Brown of Seaside Park; four daughters: Jodie Ann Charney of Garfield, Mary Beth Walpole of Seaside Park, Lynn Collins of Bloomfield, and Jeanie Brown of Belleville; one brother, Harold Russell of Lodi; eight grandchildren: Sydni Alicia and Victoria Rose Charney, Walter Rand, Melissa, James, and Veronica Fera, Ian Collins and Abigail Walpole.
